Contemplate & Embody

For Contemplate & Embody we focus on a particular energy, contemplate it and embody it through practice. Amy offers multiple ways that you can creatively connect with and explore the energy through the magic of yoga.

Amy includes elements of yoga philosophy, ethics, social justice theory and practice. You'll find that these sessions tend to be themed around what's currently going on in the world, whether that's a particular social justice issue, elements of nature, the season we are in, the lunar cycle etc.

A typical session will look like the following:

  • Welcome & Amy will share about the theme

  • Opening practice & spiritual acknowledgement

  • Guided practice e.g. mudra, mantra, meditation, visualisation etc.

  • Optional shares in the chat or spoken aloud.

Please note there is no requirement for you to turn your cameras on and no requirement to share if you choose not to.

This is a meditation class so please join us in comfy clothes from a chair or cosy up in bed! Bring some tea and perhaps a notebook if you'd like to make notes or journal after the meditation.

Collective Grief & Transformation

Join us for our Spring Retreat in York.

Spring is the season for growth and transformation, yet given global injustice and the hostile environment we are experiencing here in the UK, we also need space to grieve for the collective: grieving the lives that have been lost to countless ongoing genocides and the targeting of marginalised communities here in the UK.

We need space to grieve the loss of what could have been if injustice never became our reality.

For this retreat we are offering the chance for us to collectively contemplate and practice holding both the joy of Spring and our collective grief at the same time, pondering in what ways transformation could be a part of this story.

Through asana (movement), pranayama (the breath), mantra (chanting), meditation and guided creative practices, we’ll seek collective wisdom and insight about grief and transformation, sharing the learnings with the people around us.

  • We are accessible yoga teachers and will therefore be offering chair variations and multiple options to engage with all the practices.
